Their Depths of Slumber

This new-found calm is alarmingly serene.

Quit from all things old, plastic and shallow.

As if plucked from a faded dream, I allow it in.

It has begun. I’ve wondered astray into their realm.

Grains of sand begin to appear on their own.

A delicate ghost cloaked in reality sits at the foot of my bed.

And behind it’s faded veil, I know who it is.

Tiny bodies know this place, but never remember.

But I do. Somehow I have been allowed to return here without dying.

Their breezes slide into my pores and out again.

All consciousness has jettisoned.

They’ve held it’s secret place safe so long.

On transparent twine I descend through ocean’s waves

to my deliverance.

  1. I was very disappointed in this premier.

    spoiler alert...

And not a fan of Resurrection either. I think since Lost everyone likes that head scratchier effect to hook people, but it just doesn't work. At first I didn't get the hostility toward the people in white when they showed up at the day of remembering, then seeing how they harass survivors I wanted to punch out a couple myself. I found myself getting super annoyed with the characters - from the mom totally ignoring her crying baby, talking non stop on her cell phone, it held me back from being sympathetic to her - the teenagers unbelievably destructive behavior (and that choke game is no joke - wish they didn't show that) to a police officer who seems so strangely out of it. Like he is living in jello or something. Stares at deer. Doesn't even run to get in car when pack of dogs come - just sits and stares at deer being eaten alive - still does nothing. mystery man comes to shoot dog. still does nothing for awhi

    1. sorry - cut myself off - but suffice to say, I will pass on this series, unless there is buzz that indicates that it is worth watching.
